Once guests enter your home and they’re greeted by warm, wonderful wood finished floors, so everyone feels right at home. A gleaming expanse of a hardwood floor is something you just can’t match with the worn-out wall-to-wall carpet that once laid there. Floors just need to be installed properly, or they need the TLC that it takes to make them look freshly installed.
Best Handyman Boston puts your socks only feet on the floors you’ve been dreaming about. We have been helping homeowners with their flooring for nearly 20 years. We’re known as the wood flooring specialists.
Installation of your hardwood floors
We can help you replace your current flooring with the hardwood of your choice. Are you ready to enjoy all the benefits of hardwood floors?
Select from a variety of colors and finishes. We’ll help them perform at their best.
Installation can be complicated. We have to account for humidity conditions and foundation work. If there are leveling problems we have to make sure we’re accounting for those, too.
Failing to do this can result in floors that warp, squeak, or creak. It also results in floors that don’t last as long as they should. This is a high-level renovation project. Our expert team brings years of unparalleled craftsmanship to your project, ensuring top-notch results.
Hardwood floor refinishing
The refinishing process will remove scuffs and stains from your existing hardwood floor. It will also restore its natural shine, ensuring it looks like new. To help your home look its best, most hardwood floors will need to be refinished every five to ten years.
Costs vary, but people who give their floors a little more care a little more often, will find they don’t need to pay as much to keep their floors looking great. Still, we can help, even if you’ve neglected your floors for many years.
Keep in mind this isn’t an easy DIY project. Much depends on the type of flooring you have. Treating an engineered floor like it’s made from solid hardwood planks is a fast way to ruin your floors. We can correctly identify your flooring composition and level of damage before choosing the appropriate refinishing method.
Much also depends on the equipment you use. You can rent a 120-volt sander, but it won’t do the job correctly. The 220-volt sanders we bring with us are more powerful, allowing us to give you better results.
In some cases, your hardwood flooring will have been sanded and refinished too many times for us to do it again. In those cases, we will advise you on the damage and let you know that it may be time to install a new floor.
